The IFS program has enlightened my thought process in understanding the essential role that social theory plays in health. It was an amazing learning experience that I had throughout the coursework. It has given me an insight on the practice oriented application of family centered principles in developing action research & policies. This program has given an opportunity to think and deliver in the way you want and by doing this to understand fits in overall framework of your professional work that you are engaged in. I feel, there is a need for a strong cadre of family service professionals which will help families to resolve many such social issues that were unanswered. Thank you TISS. I love doing service to the society and thus it has given me an immense pleasure to choose a career path with family studies.

Suman, TISS

Though I have a good career in the field of documentation, I always wanted to do something more meaningful, such as working with children, women, or others in distress. And, this is how I joined this online s program of GCIFS through TISS, to make myself competent to work in the related fields. This is my first experience in a full-fledged online academic program, and I find it very unique. With faculty members and students from universities across the globe, it gives us a truly global, multi-cultural exposure. With online discussions boards, real-time chats, and, above all, an opportunity to learn from your peers around the globe, learning is fun and different; the coursework is interesting and informative too. Though the program does not offer much flexibility in terms of pace and schedule, and has been keeping me extremely busy ever since I joined, it has been a wonderful learning experience!
